Titus Kinimaka is a professional surfer, stuntman and adventurer. He has been sponsored by Quiksilver Since 1981 and has traveled the globe as their ambassador. In 2005, at age 51, Titus placed 8th in Eddie Aikau Waimea Surf event, in what is arguably the biggest waves the contest has ever had. In 2000, Titus founded the Hawaiian School of Surfing and has built it into one of the most prolific schools in the Islands with over 6000 lessons taught in the last 12 months alone. The Kinimaka family is here to share the gift of surfing. From beginner to Extreme riders, their unique style of teaching was developed by Titus during his four and half decades of surfing. Rates & Class Descriptions (All rates include Tax) There are 3 levels of classes you can attend. They only teach a maximum of 4 persons per group. This creates a better experience because each student will have quality one on one time with their instructor. Private for 3 would be $225 and a Solo Private is $150 Beginner Group Class $65
Advanced Class $65
Semi Private for 2 students $75 each = $150
Extreme Class $250.00

Kauai is the Hawaiian Island's most spectacular destination. It's perfect waves and gentle climate continue to attract surfers from all over the world. With a total population of 55,000 people, Kauai's waters are never crowded. The average ocean temperature is 75 degrees, making wetsuits an option! The Kauai Surf School is owned and operated by the Dillberg Family. They have been involved in the sport of surfing since 1964, and continue to pass down the tradition. The Dillberg Brothers, Jamie and Dustin, are young, professional surfers who want to share the excitement of riding waves. Jamie Dillberg, a professional surfer with proven talent and skill, has turned his passion for the sport of surfing into teaching. With over 6 years of surf instruction behind his belt, Jamie provides thorough and effective instruction for all levels of surfing, from first-time beginners to competitive amateurs. Dustin Dillberg, raised on Kauai, puts his "local" knowledge to work when teaching his students how to surf successfully. Emphasis is made on learning the basic skills required to balance, paddle, and ride waves. In addition, Dustin has a kind, friendly personality that puts his entire class at ease. The Kauai Surf School makes learning to surf easy and fun! They teach the skills that have you up and surfing in no time. They utilize 10ft. BZ soft-foam longboards. These have excellent flotation and cushioning and are great for beginners.

We had such a great time at Garden Luau! The surfing lessons in Poipu were just fantastic! Nathan taught both our daughters for 3 & 4 days and they both had the time of their lives! Both got up the first day and by day 3 were learning to do turns, etc. I sat happily watching their progress. Nathan is just a great teacher! Jamie was so flexible and helpful with our plans too! ... It was a memory we will all treasure! Thank you so much Lilikoi for your hard work and help in getting our "act together". We enjoyed this vacation more than we imagined. Of course we will be back... just as soon and as often as possible. This was my first time snorkeling... and what a place I chose to learn! A sea turtle swam up to me! Saw whales (a lot), monk seals, sea turtles, and fish too numerous to recount. Heaven on earth can't come closer for me than your WONDERFUL KAUAI and the Beautiful PEOPLE. Aloha. Sher and Family |

Dates Visited: July 21 - 28 Permission To Share: yes Mahalos-Feedback: My son, Brendan, and I signed up for lessons with Russell Lewis. Russell worked well with my teenage son while giving the proper amount of attention to me (mid 40's). We had both taken several lessons on previous trips to California but felt like we started over for the better. Russell took the time to not only explain things but make sure we understood the cause/effect relationship of his instruction. He was very patient and good-humored throughout our lessons. We progressed more in three lessons with Russell than in over three weeks of previous private lessons. Couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. Mahalo! "Russell has shown the utmost in professionalism
both in coaching his sport and in handling of the guests who wish to take
his classes. We have received only positive feedback on his lessons
and coaching abilities. It is difficult to please everyone all of
the time in the resort activities business, however, Russell Lewis has
managed to do just that in handling of our guests."

| Surf's Up! And on Kaua'i there is always perfect surf
to learn on. Kayak Kaua'i Outbound was founded by Caribbean surfers
in quest of the perfect wave. They have surfed little keiki waves
to the biggest that the Hawaiian reefs have to offer. From long board to
short board surfing, small wave hot doggin' to big wave riding, the instructors
are always more than happy to find an excuse to get in the water and teach
their stuff.
You are guaranteed to stand during your first lesson. They use safe, soft foam boards and emphasize safe surfing and wave dynamics. For the more experienced, we have a selection of short and long fiberglass boards. Each lesson takes about an hour and a half and includes board and instructor. When And Where: Surf Sessions 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

After the lesson you can rent the surfboard at a special rate of
