Enjoy sailing, cocktails & Dinner while viewing the sights of the Na Pali Coastline with a magnificent sunset.  Dinner menu includes, Kalua Pork, Teri Chicken, Caesar Salad, White Rice, Pineapple, and homemade chocolate chip cookies.  They will serve cocktails of beer, wine and their World Famous Mai Tais. Mahalos-Feedback: Aloha, Lilikoi! We had a wonderful vacation on Kauai! It was hours of relaxation punctuated by the exciting excursions you arranged for us. Our sunset dinner sail and whalewatch was spectacular as well. We saw more than 50 whales.

Departs on the West Side at Kikiaola Small Boat Harbor. It is an incredibly fast and comfortable (definitely the smoothest ride we have ever been on) 49 ft. power catamaran. The NA PALI KAI III offers forward facing seating with padded seats for your comfort. The amenities on board include a small shaded area (for those who need protection from the sun), freshwater showers, and spacious rest room facility.  Daily west-side departures from the closest commercail boat harbor offers the calmest sea conditions, longer snorkeling sessions, more time along the Na Pali, and the closest route to the Na Pali Coast Park.

Na Pali and Ni'ihau Super Tour  • 7 Hour
A premiere trip aboard Holo Holo begins with a continental breakfast as you head west & north to the majestic Na Pali Coast with waterfalls, lush valleys, and sea caves. An event that promises to be the highlight of your visit to Kauai.

After sightseeing and hearing the history of the Coast you will head across the channel to the “Forbidden Island” of Niihau. When you arrive at Niihau the Captain will choose a snorkel spot. Your caring crew will assist and instruct you in snorkeling—relax, float, and watch the comings and goings of the aquatic world. No other place in Hawaii offers you such unique formations. Niihau’s old age means it has been shaped and carved by ocean currents and waves the longest of all the Hawaiian Islands.

After snorkeling, enjoy a gourmet deli-style buffet lunch. Choose from a variety of deli meats, cheeses, veggies and breads to make your sandwich a work of art! Also included are pasta and fresh fruits. Assorted soft drinks are served throughout the tour, with beer and wine served after snorkeling. While you are eating they talk story about the island, the people and history of Niihau.

The Holo Holo also boasts three entry/exit points for snorkelers, a comfortable shaded cabin with a large bar area and two forward nets for sunbathing and watching the dolphins riding the bow. She can carry 65, but keeps the numbers to 49 or less, which means more room to sightsee, snorkel, relax and enjoy.

Makana's vessel is a comfortable 32' Lightning Catamaran is powered by twin Volvo Penta engines(400hp) cruising at 18 to 20 knots. It is Coast Guard certified for 19 passengers but seating is limited to only 12 passengers for your safety and comfort. Tours departing daily from Kukuiula Harbor in Poipu at 7:45 AM and at 11:45 AM.

Join Captain Tara and local marine biologists for an exciting 3 hour snorkel adventure on Kauai's southern shore in Poipu aboard her 24 foot Zodiac "Hurricane", a rigid hull inflatable used by Navy Seals and valued for its quickness and maneuverability. It is certified for 20 passengers. You are in good hands with Captain Tara - she has a Masters License from The US Coast Guard. She is also a Marine Biologist, published underwater photographer and a dive master well acquainted with Hawaiian waters and especially the waters off Poipu's sunny coast. The 3 hour tour departs from Kukuiula Harbor near Spouting Horn. The adventure takes you to 'out of the way' snorkel spots that are accessible only by boat. You will have the opportunity to explore Poipu snorkel spots that others rarely see, and swim with colorful tropical fish and green Sea Turtles. The South Coast of Kauai offers many opportunities to see Dolphins, Flying Fish, and Humpback Whales (in season). You will receive a free underwater photo of your snorkel excursion. The tour includes all snorkel gear and wetsuits. About the UFO: Considering the size of the vessel and the shorter trips, there is a minimal portable toilet unit available (they do stop at "Bladder Bay" halfway through the trip). Also, an excellent music selection is provided to enhance the surroundings. Snorkeling equipment is complimentary. Snacks and beverages are included depending on the adventure you choose.

You check in at your tour time , then you'll be shuttled 3 blocks to the Hanalei Bay where you then board an 8 passenger outrigger canoe that will transport you to their 34 ft. powered catamaran (16 passengers max but certified for 21). You will step into 12" - 14" of water in order to board the boat.  Be prepared to remove your shoes & socks. As you are boarding, the captain and crew will give you a run down on safety … You will then travel down the historic Napali coast for a 1 ½ hr. of narration and picture taking, you'll do this on the way down the Napali, they will talk about the history of the Napali cliffs, you'll see dolphins and flying fish (whales if in season) … you'll also see goats on the cliff sides.If ocean conditions permit they'll enter the caverns along the way, getting up close and very personal.

You'll stop for snorkeling at the famous hole, Nua Lolo Kai for 1 hr where you are briefed before going into the water to snorkel. Water can get from 10 ft to 30 in some areas. All snorkel equipment is on board as well as floatation devices for those who need, noodles and looky boogie board too. When you are all done with the snorkel portion of your tour, your lunch will be waiting for you, beverages are offered throughout the tour. A deli style sandwich is offered on both tours, which is your choice of meats and veggies, you'll also have chips and cookies, and be provided with juices, sodas, and plenty of drinking water. They provide a cooler & ice should you want to bring along your own snacks & the beverages you like. The crew members slice fresh pineapple for you while you are on board. They also serve a hot malasada and juice at check in on our (AM) tours. We recommend bringing towel, sunscreen, camera, hat and sunglasses. Wear your bathing suits with light cover up and water shoes would also be a good idea. Snorkel gear (but not prescription lenses) and dry bags are provided to protect your gear from the alt spray. After lunch be ready to put all your items in the dry bag that is provided you at check in and hold on as our ocean can get a little crazy. It's an exciting and quick adventure on the ride home, as you go against the currents and trade winds.

Napali Coast trips are 4-4.5 hours (sometimes they run a little longer depending on conditions). They provide lunch and all the snorkeling gear although Capt. Gary always tells people if you have your own gear bring it along.  It's a narrated tour and they explore the caves and valleys. They snorkle and have lunch along the Napali Coast.

Please note that afternoon tours are sometimes dependent on seasonal ocean conditions (yes, we do have a winter & summer).  You late risers may be asked to reschedule your event for a morning departure in the winter months.  Be prepared for this possibility.  It is also recommended that you consider making your reservation for boating activities as early to the beginning of your visit to allow for any unforeseen weather cancellations. This will give you a chance to reschedule and not depart Kauai disappointed.

Caution is advised regarding pregnant women and persons with special health concerns.  It is crucial that anyone on board has the physical ability to hold on and walk on board the vessels safely. Please inform us at the time of making a reservation if you are pregnant and/or have a health concern or disability. Tip for those of you who are prone to seasickness.  My son and my husband both avoided boat rides for years because they get very seasick.  We all take motion sickness medication before bedtime the night before our adventure.   Check with your physicians for what they recommend.  Being prepared will enhance your experience!   * A popular local remedy is pickled or preserved ginger root, some even drink the tea.
