She does not charge for her services, and she has lots of helpful "inside" information about the various activity vendors on Kauai. We recommend her for your travel planning on Kauai. I have been in love with Kauai since the '70's when I first visited during high school (Campbell class of '71; UH '79)! We visit Kauai often from current home in California. This is the first time I've seen your beautiful site and have been exploring for an hour. Thanks for putting so much great information in one spot. Mahalo nui loa, Bob |

DatesVisited - three times a year PermissionToShare - yes Comments - Lilikoi, Thank you for offering to help me locate the musician I heard at the Farmer Market near Hanalei. It is so nice to know you are there to help visitors enjoy the island. During my years of timeshare ownership on Kauai I have invited many friends and relatives to come along with me. The kayaks on the river are the favorite memory of my women friends, along with the picnics at secluded beaches north of Hanalei. Holiday buffets at the Princeville Hotel (now the St. Regis, I see) are always a big hit. The view and cuisine are out of this world. However, my favorite thing to do when I am alone there is to check out books and videos with my library card at the Princeville library (it costs $25 for out of state visitors), eating ice cream in Hanalei, going to Allerton National Botanical Gardens, cooking meals using the produce I get at the farmers' markets, and looking for new Hawaiian music cd's to play at the condo while I am sunning on the Lanai. I never trade my timeshare for another locale. I love Kauai, and it's roosters, and will return year after year. I am so happy to have learned of you and the service you make available to visitors on Kauai! - Lorna |

DatesVisited - Jan 19 -26th 2011 PermissionToShare - yes Comments - Mahalo for sharing Kauai with me. This wasn't my first trip to Kauai, but having your help in navigating things to do made it that much easier. Holo Holo came thru again with another great Sunset tour.(I had been on them before). We saw whales, had a great tour and a great sunset. But the Highlight tour was the Aloha Kauai Tour Adventure. Paul was our tour guide, and we lucked out with only 2 of us in the van. He sure knows everything, plants, locations, history. That tour really rocked. Could not have been a better tour to add to a great vacation. I will certainly recommend to everyone I know going to Kauai to use your sight!! Mahalo again Lilikoi - Till we meet Again, Liz |

DatesVisited - Coming Soon in 2011 PermissionToShare - yes Comments - I just wanted you to know what a beautiful and useful site you have. I was "Googling" for groceries on Kauai and found your site full of useful tips. We are celebrating our 50th anniversary, trying to be thrifty with the basics so we can splurge on things like helicopter rides and sunset cruises :) Sometimes being thrifty leads to wonderful discoveries. We discovered Poipu Plantation B&B and know we will have wonderful breakfasts there. They don't want food in the guest rooms so I'm looking for places where we can eat out economically and purchase 'picnic' food to eat on the grounds. Your site was really helpful. Mahalo nui loa |

DatesVisited - June 19-26, 2010 Reviews About Our Adventures PermissionToShare - yes Comments - Aloha Lillikoi! Once again, we just can't say enough about your beautiful Kauai! We still get emotional and shed a happy tear whenever we are telling friends about our trip. Or especially when Eva and I are reminiscing about the trip, we just get choked up about the things we saw and did! By the way, did you see all the reviews I wrote about each of our adventures? If you did, I wanted to ask you if you could copy them and send them back via e-mail? I also personally sent reviews to each company's website and a few of them said I should do a review on TripAdvisor.com. I would like to give each company as much love as I can and spread the word! Like I said before, you were like our angel coming out of nowhere and being the best help and person we could find. Honestly, when I filled out the information I thought I might get a reply in the mail or much later via e-mail. That's what I thought I was filling out... an information form. Little did I know, it was the best thing I could have ever filled-out! You called within an hour of the webform being sent and you turned out to be our personal consultant for our adventures! I really valued your opinion about the adventures because you live on the island. I especially took your advice if it was a tour that you personally did or a close friend of yours did. I did not once feel you were trying to "sell me" or push me towards a trip. We almost switched zipline tours because of a presentation at our timeshare condo. I called and you did some checking on the other tour. You gave us an option, but said that the Backcountry Zipline was taller and we were in the air longer. Well, my friends that went with us had so much with Backcountry that it was the highlight of the trip for them! We enjoyed it all... kayak, bicycle, helicopter, luau, zipline, it was just amazing!!! DatesVisited - June 19, 2010 Lemongrass Restaurant PermissionToShare - yes Comments - The day we arrived in Kauai we were very tired from the flight. The 6 of us were staying at Kapaa Shores. Lemongrass Restaurant was practically right across the street from us! There was another restaurant next door, but we took Lillikoi recommendation and went to Lemongrass. We are glad we did! Very nice restaurant with beautiful decor, bamboo style. There was a small bar inside and nice seating inside and outside. I'm not sure if it was because of the weekend, but there was entertainment by singer/keyboardist and he was very good and had CD's of him available. It was nice dinner music and definitely put us in the mood for out stay in Kauai. The menu was fairly/moderately priced ($12-$15 for some dinner entrees), and around $20+ for a steak, not bad! Our one friend had dessert and it was some kind of cream pie and it was a very hefty slice! Overall, very good restaurant, good service, nice atmosphere and definitely recommended in staying in Kapa'a ---Tom & Eva |

DatesVisited - June 25, 2010 - Zipline with Kauai Backcountry PermissionToShare - yes Comments - Aloha! Loved our Zipline tour with Azure and Pono on June 25, 2010! They were very nice and couldn't have had better hosts! They were really into the adventure, especially Azure as she was so animated and talking about the area and our tour on the ride out there! It was actually an easier adventure that we thought, but that didn't mean we didn't enjoy it! It really made for a really fun time as we could take pictures while on the zipline! That's what I mean by easier... You didn't have to brake for yourself and there were no challenge courses or sway bridges, just small ladders to climb for a few of the platforms. Our friends that went along with us because I booked the tour, thought it was the highlight of our trip to Kauai. It was on a Friday, and one friend said, "This made the whole trip worthwhile! What a great way to end our week on Kauai! I could do this zipline over and over for hours if I was allowed!" Everything went well and flowed easily. The ride there and back is a little bumpy, but that's part of getting in the mood for our Backcountry Adventure! Very nice facility to meet at and very organized as there were other groups there for other adventures but we were instructed very well on what to do and getting our gear. Overall, a great adventure and fantastic people! ---Tom & Eva |

DatesVisited - June 22, 2010 - Blue Hawaiin Helicopter Ride PermissionToShare - yes Comments - Here's a copy of our e-mail sent to Blue Hawaiin: We can't say enough and thank you enough for one of the greatest experiences ever! It was a surprise for my wife and now as we are back on the mainland (in Ohio), she can't stop talking about it! Barret was a fantastic pilot! I wish we would have said more or asked more questions of him and and about the area, but we were just in awe and taking it all in. It was "jaw dropping", so were couldn't talk and ask questions! ha! ha! Mahalo! A few more notes ... Everything was fine on our adventure! We were greeted very nicely and checked-in with no problem. We were weighed and told our seating assignments were based on weight distribution for the helicopter. We read a less than flattering review about them stating that a person called ahead and asked for a front row seat, which they were told they could have. I don't know who would say that at Blue Hawaiin because we were told all along that seat assignments were based on weight. We loved that they called the before to confirm our reservation and tell us what we could bring along (camera & water bottle), and to wear dark clothing as that does not reflect in the windows as much as bright or white clothing. That was very helpful! After a short video presentation about the helicopter and safety precautions we were transported to the airport via a van. At the heliport, we were seated in a canopy/tent and sat according to our number assignment. The helicopters came in and landed and just seeing them come in got the adrenaline pumping! The pilot was very nice and narrated everything to a "T". He chose his own music and timed it up to where we were at the time. It definitely set the mood. Lift-off was of the best things! You felt almost weightless as he started upward and took a nice, sharp right turn! It was awesome! There was a little bit of turbulence but not bad. It felt like we were floating and just added to the experience of the flight! We had never been in a helicopter before and we enjoyed the sensation of the propellers and the floating feeling. If you get motion sickness, you may want to take a pill or something beforehand. the tour itself was fantastic! Like they say... You see things you would never see driving around Kauai. We saw Napali Coast, Hanalei, Princeville and were put right in the middle of a crater. It was so cool as we got into the crater and the pilot just rotated the helicopter in the middle of the crater! A woman in our group who was island hopping did a little research before choosing Blue Hawaiin Helicopters. She said 2 things.... 1) She asked which island would be the best to do a helicopter tour and they said, Kauai! 2) She loved that you could have a DVD of your actual tour and not some promotional DVD. That's what my wife and I liked too! That we could have a DVD of our actual tour! We watched some of the video as we got back into the office and then was asked if we wanted a copy. Of course, it is extra ($25), but we knew the price ahead of time and picked Blue Hawaiin Helicopters because we could get a DVD of the tour! Overall! Great people! Great Adventure! A must do adventure! Especially on Kauai! ---Tom & Eva Blasczak |

Thank you, Thank you, for ALL the very in depth answers to my questions. I so appreciate it. You have made such a lovely website, full of wonderful information for guests and locals alike. I still remember when I stumbled across your site and realized Keiki Kottage was in there. I was so thankful and called you to let you know how surprised and especially how thankful I was that you had done this, all out of the goodness of your heart. I can't believe how you have done this. The site is SO very informative, beautiful pictures and details to go along with them. It makes for a perfect site, showing guests, exactly what is available to them. Especially wonderful about your site is your graciousness. I don't think I have ever met or known someone that gives so much from her heart. Under Aloha in the dictionary should be your picture, Lilikoi. I also love all the sweet quotes you have. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dates Visited: February 17 -25, 2008 Permission To Share: yes Mahalos-Feedback: Aloha, Lilikoi! We had a wonderful vacation on Kauai! It was hours of relaxation punctuated by the exciting excursions you arranged for us. You had asked for pictures. Check this out...Janet caught the biggest fish on our charter with Explore Kauai Sportfishing -- a beautiful yellowfin tuna. The crew was extremely patient with us as newcomers to the sport of deep sea fishing (and, thankfully, so were other 4 anglers who we had never met before that morning). Our sunset dinner sail and whalewatch was spectacular as well. We saw more than 50 whales. The snorkeling was also great fun. The guides were patient with all of us (18 in all, no experienced snorkelers) and we saw more than 16 kinds of beautiful reef fish and about a dozen turtles. The Garden Luau was great. Many people we met there said the food was the best they had during their entire vacation. We agreed the food was great but have to say we ate many wonderful meals on Kauai. The show at the luau was equally spectacular. We bought the DVD of the luau program, and didn't take photos of our own. Speaking of meals, the captain from Explore Kauai Sportfishing, gave us a portion of one of the skipjack tuna caught during out trip. We bought a bag of charcoal, some bread and vegetables, and cooked it at Lydgate Park. That may have been our most memorable meal! Once again, mahalo for all your help. Bob and Janet Lefevre |

![]() ![]() Dates Visited: April 7 - 14, 2007 Permission To Share: yes Mahalos-Feedback: I returned to Kauai April 7-14 and had a wonderful time, in part to your assistance again. Two years before you helped us with all manor of activities. This time we slowed down and enjoyed several things from your magical menu. We returned to the Garden Luau and added a trip to the Fern Grotto. The grotto has suffered greatly from weather over the past several years, but we enjoyed the memories that remained behind in the place so many have been touched by. The grounds are as beautiful as ever and the dinner and show made us feel a part of the Luau Ohana (six generations). We also enjoyed a dinner cruise on the Blue Dolphin, cruising the Napali Coast and meeting up with a turtle and a pod of 12 whale that leisurely circled the boat, just before sunset. They seemed to welcome us and were curious about our having a good time. The spirit of aloha was in abundance and mahalo for your assistance. We also visited Allerton Gardens, connecting to their website from your own as well as a slack key guitar concert on Easter Sunday. I have included some of the pictures we took for you to share. Please do so. Until we will return again and we will. By the way the monk seal is 24 years old and had a small scar where they had to remove a fishhook previously. He seems to have recovered fully. He wasn't the only seal on the beach that morning. A female was also resting about 100 feet away (attached also for publication, if you so chose). She was new to the area, having only been spotted the for first time 1 1/2 weeks previously. Mahalo Nui Loa, Ted |

I am sorry that you have had so much dry weather lately. It did however work out for us. We did not see any rain or even clouds until we left on January 1st. It sounds like you are getting some needed moisture now. Everything we did on the island just kept getting better. The Hughes 500 flight with the waterfall stop was super. Doors off is the only way to go. It really gives you a true helicopter experience and was great for photographs. No clouds anywhere on the island sure gave us a good view of everything. I understand from our pilot that this is pretty uncommon. Captain Harry has a nice boat with top quality equipment and a very friendly staff. I knew that this was not a great time of year to fish when we booked the trip. We did manage to catch some nice Ahi. According to the crew, the first they had caught in some time. We had a lot of fun and the Ahi tasted great! The boat trip to the fern grotto and the Luau were both a fun time. I especially liked the diversity in the Luau show. Telling of the history of cultures on the Hawaiian Islands was great. It topped off a good day for the 50th anniversary. Thanks again for all your help and for sharing your beautiful island with us. I know it will not be the last time we return. (Tomorrow would be good!) My wife and I have our 25th anniversary coming up in a couple of years. I am sure we will be coming over. I've printed out your email and everything is safely tucked in Gary and my "Kauai folder". You have been so very helpful, efficient, quick, thorough, and welcoming! They are going to check out the site now. And I will continue to praise the site and your service to anyone/everyone. You can use anything that I say Lili. It's all very sincere and true! Thanks to you we had a wonderful time. The arrangements you made for us were complete and accurate to the finest detail. The flights to Honolulu with rental cars were exactly in accordance with our desires. The luau in Kapaa was fabulous and my entire family enjoyed it including our 18 month old girls. They would not go to sleep until the fantastic show was over and the seats you reserved for us were the best in the house. Many thanks for your expert arrangements and your caring, compassionate, helpful attitude. Sincerely, Don Turner |

This is my last access to e-mail until we return from our Kauai Vacation. The news here is reporting that we may have SNOW on our departure date. ;) Anyway, I have really appreciated everything you have set up for us, and have enjoyed the pieces of wisdom and language you have included in your notes. I am very happy ... Take care and many blessings. You must be loved by many. I will contact you when we return from vacation and try to send some pictures, if we don't speak again until then ... Best wishes, Natasha and Gary Laflin |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- DatesVisited: January 9-16, 2004 PermissionToShare: yes Mahalos-Feedback: Lilikoi, Thank you for all your recommendations. My husband thought I did a fabulous job planning our 7-day trip and your help was invaluable to me. Since it was our first visit to Kauai, we did all the touristy things: helicopter ride, sunset sail, drive to Waimea Canyon, Luau, waterfalls. It was fabulous! What a wonderfully lush and beautiful island. Celebrating our 10 years of marriage on Kauai was truly memorable and we both hope to return soon. I'm sending you a few pictures from our trip. Feel free to use them as you see fit. |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- DatesVisited: November 22 -28, 2003 PermissionToShare: yes Mahalos-Feedback: Hi Lilikoi, Just a note to thank you so much for the help you were is setting up activities for our vacation. What a beautiful place Kauai is! I have nothing but positive feedback on your vendors. Capts. Harry and Howard were great. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and we did catch a mess of yellow fin tuna. And yes, I did get seasick! Oh well. The Luau was the best I've ever witnessed. I think it was about my sixth, and none of the previous ones approach this one. Everyone in the party agreed. Finally, the folks who went on the ATV trip loved it too. They enjoyed their guides, and thought it was well worth the money. It was great actually getting to talk to you on the phone, and I hope we get back there and have an opportunity to use you again. I'll certainly recommend you highly. Thanks again, Don Wilson |
