Honeymooners Comments

Please forgive me for the lack of updates this page has received over the years.  My website has grown so much since 1997 that it has become such a tremendous task to keep up.  Below are just a few of the many mahalos I have received from so many happy newlyweds.  You will find many more comments on my VisitorMahalos which has so many more comments from honeymooners who never found there way to this page.  Lilikoi

Mahalos-Feedback:  Thanks a million for the e-mail Lilikoi.  You've been nothing short of outstanding in helping us out this trip aside from the mixup we had earlier.  Sorry I didn't call sooner and thanks again.  All the best,  Dave Olujic

Mahalos-Feedback: We arrived to Kauai and were not disappointed!  The Waimea Plantation Cottages were so nice-they upgraded up to ocean front on account of our honeymoon.  The sightseeing was magnificent.  We did the Waimea Canyon drive one day, had a picnic at the lookout.  We visited the Wailua falls two different times- once after a flash flood warning, the second time the day before we were due to depart.  The island itself is beautiful!  The boat/snorkel charter about the Makana was off the hook!!!!   We had so much fun & the two guys were real "locals".  The luaus were a blast too, although, I would have saved the $ we spent at the other luau.  The Garden luau blew them outta the water!  Wailua Garden Luau is definitely a must-see while visiting!  The Fern Grotto tour/cruise was beautiful & well worth the $.  We have so many wonderful photos from that spot!  Overall, Lilikoi helped us to plan several activities (I chickened outta the helicopter tour... sorry, afraid of heights!) that all were a blast.  Although, I did get motion sickness on the boat ride.  Guess I'm just a big ol city girl!  Thanks so much for all your help Lilikoi! Fa'afetai!!!

Mahalos-Feedback: Dear Lilikoi,  Thank you for all of your hard work in making all of the necessary arrangements for our visit.  We did not have to worry about scheduling anything, because you had it all taken care of before we even arrived in Kauai!  That was so nice! We highly recommend that other guests do the same.  Lilikoi is so kind and so organized.  She was so pleasant, regardless of the time of day!  We enjoyed all of the activities.  Our favorites were the no-doors helicopter tour, the luau at Princeville, and sailing on the Leila.  Thanks again for all of your assistance.  Our vacation/honeymoon would not have been so wonderful without you!

Mahalos-Feedback: Mahalo Lilikoi!  This is my last access to e-mail until we return from our Kauai Vacation.  The news here is reporting that we may have SNOW on our departure date. ;)  Anyway, I have really appreciated everything you have set up for us, and have enjoyed the pieces of wisdom and language you have included in your notes.  I am very happy ... Take care and many blessings.  You must be loved by many. I will contact you when we return from vacation and try to send some pictures, if we don't speak again until then ... Best wishes,  Natasha and Gary Laflin

Mahalos-Feedback:  Lilikoi, Thank you for all your recommendations.  My husband thought I did a fabulous job planning our 7-day trip and your help was invaluable to me.  Since it was our first visit to Kauai, we did all the touristy things: helicopter ride, sunset sail, drive to Waimea Canyon, Luau, waterfalls.  It was fabulous!  What a wonderfully lush and beautiful island.  Celebrating our 10 years of marriage on Kauai was truly memorable and we both hope to return soon.  I'm sending you a few pictures from our trip.  Feel free to use them as you see fit.

Mahalos-Feedback:  Lilikoi, Thank you so much for planning our activities for us when we visited Kauai in November!  Wehad the BEST time!  One we will never forget!  The ATV tour was great, the Luau was awesome, as well as the Napali Coast boat ride!  I have to give you an extra special thanks for referring me to Linda at Vow Exchange.  I surprised my husband and we renewed our vows for our 10 year anniversary, on the beach, at The Princeville Hotel.  Linda was great and made it extra special!  What a beautiful place - it really is Paradise!  Thanks again - we hope to be back - one day!

Hi Lilikoi,
My wife and I got back to the mainland on Tuesday.  We had a great time visiting Kauai on our honeymoon.  As you said, the island is a place of great beauty.  It was such a special time for us and I just wanted to thank you in writing for your personalized and friendly service.  Meredith and I enjoyed the helicopter tour immensely as well as the luau.  I am sincerely thankful to you for your knowledgeable recommendations.  Thanks for being so personable and easy to work with.   You did a great job of welcoming us to the island and making us feel like someone was looking out for us.
Mahalo,  Martin and Meredith Turner ~ San Jose, California ~ July 12, 2002

Hi Lilikoi,
I would gladly recommend your service to all our friends and family.  On a scale of 1-5, you definitely rate a 5 or above. We appreciate the fact you go out of your way to assist with our needs and requirements.  Thanks again for everything and hope to make it back to Kauai sooner than later.  Mahalo, Teresa & Ken ~ July 1, 2002

Dear Lilikoi, We had a fabulous time. Thank you for all your help in planning our honeymoon. The helicopter ride was scary for me, but my husband absolutely loved it.  It was the very best way to see the island of Kauai.  It is a very beautiful place and we are so happy we got married there on the beach.  Mahalo, Nancy and Rich Simile ~ May 15, 2002

Hi Lilikoi, My wife and I came to Kauai in May for our honeymoon.  We arranged several activities through you and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.  Thank you for your time an effort in making our honeymoon that much more special.  Next time we come (which may be this summer again) you will hear from us.  Sorry for not getting this feedback to you in a more timely manner. Thanks and Mahalo,  Kurt and Kelly Lewis ~ November 15, 2001

Dear Lilikoi,  Everything went very well with the wedding. The wedding site was unbelievably beautiful. I'm so glad I found that spot on the Internet. I wanted to thank you for your help with activities. You really went out of your way to help and were so good at getting back to me quickly when I had questions and concerns. I know my other family members appreciated your help as well.  I'll keep your e-mail address in my address book so we can contact you before our next visit to Kauai. We already decided to go one year for our anniversary. Hopefully you'll still be in the same line of business. Thanks again for your help.  Mahalo and Aloha,  Mary ~ August 8, 2001

Lilikoi:  Thank you very much for your help.  Your website was especially helpful, and was useful in helping me plan for our honeymoon.  We loved Kauai and had a great time there.  The highlight of the trip was a helicopter tour we took over the island.  Amazing! Best of luck to you,  Steve  ~ August 8, 2001

Hello again,  I just wanted to say thank you for all your help in booking our luau and helicopter trip. Everything was wonderful. The luau was was perfect for our rehearsal dinner. All 21 of us loved the food, the show and everything. Your reccomendation was perfect.  And the helicopter tour was amazing. Everyone had a great time. The view was beautiful and the ride was very nice.  Overall, the wedding and the trip went just as planned. We had a wonderful time on your island and are already hoping to make it back for our anniversary next year! Thank you again for all that you did and also for the nice phone call while we were there. Sincerely, Lindy and Doug ~ July 9, 2001

Hi Lilikoi,  I wanted to thank you so much for all your help in getting all of our activities set up.  Jason and I had such a wonderful time in Kauai.  It us unfortunate that we didnt get a chance to meet.  Although, we have plans on visiting again in the future and I would like to meet you then. When we were at Kipu ranch for our ATV tour,  our tour guide gave us "lilikois", which I believe is a passion fruit.  It reminded me of you and found out the meaning of your name.  I thought I'd share it with you.  Again, you have been wonderful and thanks again!  Mahalo! P. Barrantes ~ July 3, 2001

We just wanted to let you know what a great time we had on Kauai.  Everything went very smoothly and not one of our activities was cancelled for any reason.  Hawaiian Riders was great to work with and we are looking into buying one of their bikes in the future.  Our guides, Heather and Bud, at Princeville were made the ride and hike to the waterfall an unforgettable experience.  Brando was great too, although my husband was having so much fun he came back VERY tired!!  Kenny also enjoyed his hangglider flight, and it was such a beautiful day that the photos came out gorgeous (I'll email you a few).  My ride on the Hughes 500 was fabulous and the pilot was so good.  The Fern Grotto and Garden Luau were the perfect way to finish up our trip!  Everything was great and we really appreciated your help.  We recommended you all over the island!  We are already planning our next trip to Kauai in 2 years and our remarriage in 8!  Thanks again and if you ever need anything or tips on activities in Kentucky or Cincinnati, Ohio, we'd be glad to return the favor!  Warm wishes, Krista and Kenneth ~ Florence, Kentucky ~ June 9, 2001

Lilikoi, We finally made it back home and are very grateful for your help with the Kauai portion of our trip. The dive operator and the horseback riding stables were both wonderful. They treated us great and it was a pleasure having had all the arrangements made for us beforehand by you. Thank you again and we will contact you on our next trip to Kauai soon.  Scott and Alex Greene ~ May 9, 2001

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Kauai.  We did not want to leave!  Thank you for all of your help.  I know we would have lost precious time without you.  We loved the Holo Holo trip.  We saw about 3 whales.  Hawaii was absolutely magical, and we can not wait to visit again.  Thank you! Rebecca Kotas ~ April 4, 2001

Hi Lilikoi!  Just wanted to thank you for all your friendly advice and help in planning our week in Kauai. It was so nice to have a resident expert to talk with ahead of time! All the activities you arranged for us went very smoothly. I especially enjoyed SNUBA and recommend it to anyone who enjoys snorkeling. I'd love to do it again! The highlight for my husband was probably the helicopter flight.   Wonderful views. Thanks again Lilikoi; you're a joy to work with!
Mahalo Julie & Brian ~ Minnesota ~ March 15, 2001

Dear Lilikoi,  We couldn't thank you enough for taking your best efforts and making our honeymoon filled with wonderful, stress-free and relaxing spirits. The UFO boat excursion was a great trip. My husband loved it!! It was our first time to do snorkeling, and we have fell in love with it ever since. The view was amazing, and we even managed to see a pair of dolphins swimming right by our boat.  Too bad that we both were too tired to make it to the luau the day we arrived in Kauai, but we will for sure be going back to the island sometimes next year.
All in all, thank you once again, Lilikoi.  Samantha and Jeff ~ September 1, 2000

Lilikoi,  How Emily and I love that name.  Thank You for turning us on to those Lilikoi margaritas.  I hate to think that we might have missed those on our trip.  Mahalo for setting up the honeymoon.  We spent two weeks in heaven with the help of a wonderful guide.  Your service is top notch and we will do what we can to spread the word.  I haven't been up to your web site for quite a while.  I need to check out your latest additions. JDL ~ Batavia, Illinois ~ August 9, 1999

More Tips from JDL ... Speaking of names I penned the B-Movie name "Killer Koi" for the Koi at Tide Pools in the Hyatt.  The dinner there was wonderful and I found that Moet & Chandon bottles their champagne for Hyatt called Domain Chandon Hyatt.  The bottle was only $32 and tasted just as good as the bottles of Moet & Chandon we had at the wedding for $200.  A great tip for future honeymooners. *  Of course prices are subject to change.

Hi my Lili,  All was perfect. I would have not done anything different. Roger and I want to go back next year. We will plan to do the helicopter trip over the falls and spend more time at Kee Beach. I want to thank you for all you have done.  Love much,  Jenny and Roger ~ Seattle, Washington ~ August 4, 1999

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL
Kauai was a life changing experience for both myself and Amy.  The "slow" pace of life is still evident in our driving manners and other daily activities even now that we are back at home.  Everything turned out great - all vendors were terrific as well.  I can't think of one item that didn't meet our expectations.  In fact, everything probably exceeded our expectations. One last item...the Sunspree was great as well.  Lounging in the hammock feeding each other fresh cut pineapple is as good as life can possibly get.  That became our favorite way of relaxing at the hotel.
Thanks for your help,  Steven & Amy ~ North Carolina ~ September 23, 1999

A special letter from Jenny ...

When my finance and I starting thinking about honeymoon spots, Kauai was the first one that popped into our dreams. It's so lush and romantic with so many fun and exciting things to do.

I had searched the internet and found Lilikoi, who responded to my email in regards to island activities. Lili was so thoughtful and kind and did everything in her power to recommend places to eat, beaches to swim and snorkel at, and activities to explore.

The three main activities we decided on were the highlights of our trip. The first was a catamaran excursion to the gorgeous Na Pali Coast and the island of land Niihau. We were treated like royalty and given a wonderful breakfast and lunch. They catered to our every need. We anchored at a spot called Atlantis. It was the clearest, bluest, most beautiful water I had ever seen in all my travels. It was perfect for swimming and people of all ages. We snorkeled and took underwater pictures.

The second was a enchanting kayak tour down the Wailua River. We had a guide who kept us laughing but also informed us of island history and folklore. It was a smooth and calm paddle and we enjoyed looking at the orange and yellow flowers falling off the trees into the water. We docked and had a quick walk through the dense fern forest to a magnificent waterfall. It was just like Fantasy Island. I plopped down my gear and walked quickly into the cool water. We had all sorts of great pictures of my husband and I in back of the waterfall waving. It was so exotic and peaceful. Our tour guides made a wonderful local Hawaiian lunch for us. I didn't want to go back to the hotel. I wanted to stay their for ever.

The third planned activity was a traditional Hawaiian luau. A banquet of local foods lay before us while we listened and watched local song and dancers. They had the most wonderful pork, fruit, teriyaki beef, and all  sorts of light desserts. We met some charming couples and had so much fun.

I plan to go back next year and stay longer. I will be calling on Lilikoi to  help us find the best activities to do on our stay. She is a wonder and a now a friend.

Jennifer Palmer ~ Seattle, Washington
