I have been referring my visitors to this site for all these years and while it was a simple old time site, it gets you some of the best deals (you might save up to 70%). While going direct can net you special deals, often times they sell out of the packages and in the end you end up paying a higher rate. I generally don't feature ad links but I use this one for my own inter-island travel needs when I visit my family on other islands. You'd be wise to check it out. I have lived on Kauai since 1974, and originally arrived on Oahu in 1953. Lucky for me, my mother was born in Honolulu. I was born in China. I visited Kauai for the first time in 1971. My ancestors were the first group of plantation workers who came to work in the plantations in Kohala, on the Big Island. My Great Grandfather eventually moved to Honolulu and opened up a coffee stand for 5 cents a cup. He complained to King Kalakaua that the royal guards at Iolani Palace were not paying him. Happy to report that the kind King got most of them to pay up! I am full Chinese, but feel very Hawaiian. I love Kauai today as much as I did back in 1974. You will fall in love with it too! I have 4 grown adult children (they aren't children anymore but guess they will always be my children, and a very supportive husband. I got a grand baby in 2010! I understand what your needs are in regard to family. I've been dabbling with my art all my life, so if you have interest, check out the links for LilikoiArt.com.

Just a note: I do take breaks daily away from the computer, though my husband would disagree. You can always leave me a voice message or text anytime @ (808) 821-1000. Mondays - Fridays are the best days to catch me live but I am open for calls 7 days a week at anytime.

I have a date with my husband every Saturday and often we add a bonus Friday night. Sometimes I am taking a walk with Kiwi (our 1/4 English Pit & 3/4 White Lab born on February 3, 2006) or she does the treadmill :). Kiwi is a service dog, a good samaritan, and a certified pet visitor at the Garden Island Long Term care unit at our local hospital and the Wilcox Adult Day Care in Lihue. Sadly she had to be on sabbatical for most of this year. The vets are still unsure what is wrong with her but she is doing better and has not returned to her service as our scheduling has presented a problem. I am sure she is missed and she misses her friends too.

I learned to swim in August 2008 so currently swim as much as possible at the YMCA so if not in my office ... I am underwater exercising my body and brain, all the while calming my senses. Caring for myself helps me care for you even better. Caring for others is just a way we give back to those in need. If you can't wait, I understand completely and apologize for missing you. Mahalo for your kind understanding and patience :) regarding my exercise routines and our volunteer hours for the Kauai Humane Society.
